Customer Care Representative - Humboldt

Knight Archer Insurance has an opening for a full time Customer Service Specialist/ Client Care Representative that will be providing assistance to our MLI and Personal Lines department and reporting to the Branch Manager.  The successful applicant will be based out of our Main Street office location in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Job Specifics:

  • Primary contact for all customers either by phone or in person
  • Issuing registrations for customers coming in for their renewals
  • Issuing new plates to customers who have bought new and used vehicles
  • Transferring drivers licences for people moving to Saskatchewan
  • Taking payments on customer accounts while keeping all information private
  • Calling SGI support service when needed and keeping a positive working relationship with SGI
  • Taking payments by cash, debit, credit, or personal cheque.
  • Properly processing and recording payment for personal insurance policies
  • Scanning documents into our computer system and attaching them to customer files
  • Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
  • Assisting the insurance brokers in client service duties
  • Weekly renewal reviews
  • Prioritizing and managing daily phone calls, emails and mail
  • Providing timely responses to client queries
  • Assisting with marketing of accounts and attend client meetings as necessary
  • Problem solving regarding different coverages, rating, claims and competition
  • Administration associated with client service – record notes, instructions, changes, new submissions, renewal submissions, letters, claim reporting
  • Managing activities in SigXP, SGI Auto Fund;
  • Review claim notices and ensure a timely reporting to carrier(s)
  • Ongoing projects as assigned
  • Complete duties according to corporate policies and procedures

Job Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, demonstrated in both written and verbal;
  • Strong people skills, with the proven ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally;
  • Outgoing and able to meet and greet clients with no hesitation;
  • Proficient in SigXP, Outlook, Word and Excel;
  • Strong independent work ethics while also being able to work as a part of a team;
  • Must be able to deal with multiple projects at one time;
  • Able to perform data entry with no or little assistance;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Responsive, with a knack for anticipating needs and delivering on commitments;
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise;
  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure;
  • Acceptable criminal record check

Education Requirements:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education an asset
  • Obtaining and maintaining a minimum level 1 Saskatchewan Broker License
  • 1-2 years customer service experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in the insurance industry
